Howdy! 

My name is Maddie Boland and I am a Stage manager and Lighting designer finishing up my final year of undergrad at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. There I am pursuing a BFA in Drama at the Production and Design Studio with a  concentration in Stage Management and Lighting Design. Outside of my major I am also pursuing the Producing, Business of Entertainment & Media Technologies, & Environmental Humanities minors. 

My work ranges from traditional and experimental theater, dance, educational work, & events– with each posing a new set of creative problem solving to discover. As a manager and a designer I take a human forward approach that puts care at the center of my practice. As a storyteller I am drawn to work that gives rarely heard human and more-than-human voices a place to put down roots and reach outwards towards new audiences. 

I believe that telling stories changes the world around us. I continue to seek works that endeavor to reveal new ways of understanding the past, seeing our present more clearly, and envisioning new futures.
